Kevin Ferguson, CEO of News & Analysis Inc., founded Narrowback Films in 2010 after working 30 years as a print journalist. His articles and photographs have appeared in The New York Times, Businessweek, Forbes, and other nationally known publications. His lifelong connection to the Irish Catskills impelled him to document its music and culture in 'Dancing at the Crossroads,' his first documentary film.
To make 'Dancing at the Crossroads,' Kevin called upon the expertise of Emmy-award filmmaker Michael Rossi (cinematographer); Sabrina Zanella-Foresi (editor, co-producer), a veteran of PBS productions; Peabody Award winner P.H. O'Brien (cinematographer); Doug Gordon (cinematographer), a film director, cinematographer and Boston University adjunct professor of film production; Heather Merrill (associate producer, seasoned PBS researcher); and James Rutenbeck (consultant), whose editing credits include over fifty films for PBS, BBC, Channel Four (UK), Discovery Channel and Showtime. The biggest thanks of all go to the Irish musicians, resort owners and guests, who've opened their hearts and their personal archives. Their treasures have been extraordinary: rare photographs, home movies from the 1930s to the 1960s, private audio recordings, and, of course, their time, honesty, and memories.
